Treble Raises $18M to Expand Audio and Voice Development Platform for Physical AI

REYKJAVÍK, Iceland, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Treble Technologies, a world leader in sound simulation and synthetic acoustic data generation, today announced that it has raised $18 million (approximately €15M) in its Series A-2 round to expand its innovative technology platform for enabling better and easier-to-develop audio-enabled systems. Paladin Capital Group led the round, with participation from existing investors KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, and the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund. The latest round brings Treble’s total funding to date to €36M.

The financing reflects growing demand from device makers and AI developers to leverage voice and sound AI as an important interface between people and intelligent machines. It will enable Treble to extend further into the audio-enabled product market for consumer and enterprise applications, and expand into physical AI, where its highly accurate simulation technology helps device manufacturers and AI model developers train, test, and improve their products across an unlimited range of real-world acoustic conditions.

Bringing sound to physical AI

Treble is well-positioned within the broader emergence of physical AI and world models: intelligent systems that perceive, understand, and act within the physical world. Physical AI development has mainly focused on vision and touch, but as voice interfaces and audio intelligence become increasingly prevalent, products must hear and interpret sounds amid background noise, diverse room configurations, and differences in microphone and device placement. Physical AI adds another layer of complexity, including the device itself moving while interacting with challenging acoustic environments.

Audio digital twins enable faster time-to-market while improving performance

Treble's expertise in efficient physics-accurate acoustic modeling - recreating how sound physically moves through space - enables companies to replicate those conditions digitally rather than rely primarily on the slow, costly process of collecting recordings at physical locations. Its platform combines acoustic simulation, digital twins, and synthetic data generation to create realistic audio datasets representing different rooms, materials, vehicles, devices, speakers, and ambient sound conditions.

Treble lets developers create digital acoustic versions of those environments and evaluate how a product or model will perform before building physical prototypes or launching large-scale recording programs.
